Meet Pat Fortini

Pat Fortini brings more than 12 years of municipal government experience, a strong business and construction background, and a longstanding commitment to community service. Pat immigrated to Canada from Italy with his parents and sister at the age of six, an experience that helped shape his values of hard work, family, perseverance and giving back to the community.

After graduating from Humber College with an accreditation in architectural drafting, Pat pursued a career in construction, working for a large construction company for 26 years and contributing to the development of residential communities and commercial projects across Ontario. He later followed his entrepreneurial ambitions and established his own contracting business.

Pat was first elected to Brampton City Council in 2014 and went on to serve as both a City Councillor and Regional Councillor, representing residents at the municipal and regional levels. Throughout his time in public office, Pat served in numerous leadership and committee roles involving planning and infrastructure, accessibility, community safety, seniors, traffic safety and other important municipal services, giving him extensive firsthand experience in how local government operates and how to effectively deliver results for residents.

Beyond Council, Pat has built a strong record of giving back through volunteering, sponsorships, charitable initiatives and community fundraising. Over the years, he has supported youth and men's baseball and hockey teams, volunteered his time coaching youth soccer, advocated for seniors and families, and supported numerous food drives, community organizations and charitable causes. As a Council representative for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Peel, Pat was recognized for his fundraising and contributions, and he has helped raise significant funds for organizations and initiatives supporting children, families and those in need.

Pat believes effective representation means being accessible, listening to residents, following through on their concerns and taking a proactive, practical approach to solving problems. Pat has longstanding ties to Caledon, having owned property in the community for many years, and is deeply committed to its future. Together with his wife, Nicky, Pat shares a strong connection to the community and is ready to bring his extensive municipal experience, construction and business knowledge, strong work ethic and community-first approach to Ward 4.

As Caledon continues to grow, Pat believes it is essential that infrastructure, roads, recreation, public safety and community services keep pace with growth while preserving the unique character of Caledon's communities and neighbourhoods. He looks forward to building strong relationships with residents, businesses and community organizations and being a strong, experienced and accessible voice for Ward 4 at Town Hall.
